As the Product Development Team Manager, you will be responsible for the management the of the R&D team and also the management of the process of product development.
Responsibilities:
Establishing Processes: Develop and implement standardized processes and workflows for product development, project management, and operational efficiency within the design and R&D department.
Role Clarification: Clarify roles, responsibilities, and objectives for team members to ensure effective collaboration and accountability.
Project Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, effectively to support project priorities and timelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication between the design and R&D team and other departments, such as marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the design and R&D team, tracking key metrics such as project progress, resource utilization, and output quality.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and innovation within the design and R&D operations to drive continuous improvement and competitiveness.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project timelines, budget, or quality, proactively addressing issues as they arise.
Talent Development: Support the professional development of team members through training, coaching, and mentorship initiatives to enhance skills and capabilities.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for product development and innovation, aligning departmental objectives with overall business goals.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in engineering, product design, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience (ideally 5+ years) in product development, project management, or operations management roles
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving projects from concept to completion.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire team members in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate uncertainty and drive consensus among stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities and limited structure.
Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and ambiguity, while maintaining a positive attitude and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Strategic mindset with the ability to understand market trends, customer needs, and business objectives to inform product development strategies.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
Genuine passion for audio technology and a strong interest in staying updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
