We are currently looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Apprentice Learning Designer to join our team at Colina Learning Center! 

Your job:

If you are a compassionate and energetic person with an interest in education, psychology and/ or child development, we will be most excited to get to know you!

In this role you will be able to:

  • Observe experienced Learning Designers (educators), in the classroom and during their interactions with children;

  • Supervise and lead interactive and fun games with our learners;

  • Support learners during Mathematics and English Language Arts activities; 

  • Oversee learners during break time to ensure their safety;

  • Lead activities during expedition time while under the mentorship of another Learning Designer;

  • Support bus duty and when needed (only after your accommodation period), fill in for another educator in class, in their absence;

Your knowledge & qualifications:

  • You are, first of all, a life-time learner yourself. You are curious and love to better develop your understanding of the world and how you interact in it.

  • You have experience with young learners (preschool and primary).

  • You love being in nature, if you could spend all your time outside, you would be delighted.

  • You have experience facilitating fun and engaging activities for children.

  • Your love of children fuels your motivation for wanting to join our team. You understand that relationships come first, learning follows. You know how to develop positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues.

  • You communicate beautifully. You listen a lot. Talk succinctly. Write compellingly.
